- Common Uses:
- Consider to have similar properties to sweet marjoram
- Spanish Marjoram is more effective used as an expectorant for respiratory tract infections and spasms.
- Spanish Marjoram is warming and analgesic, making it useful for analgesic or antispasmodic for muscle aches / pains, muscle spasm, rheumatic pains, sprains and strains, arthritis.
- It stimulates and strengthens intestinal peristalsis, it is a good digestive and carminative, relieving constipation, colic, flatulence and spasmodic indigestion.
- Used as a massage over the lower abdomen, it will ease menstrual cramps. Due to an emmenagogue properties of the oil, its beneficial for treating delayed, scanty or painful periods.
