2. Family: Poaceae / Gramineae 
3. Origin: India, Java and Haiti 
4. Characteristics: Deep, smoky, earthy, strong and lingering aroma 
5. Blends well with: Frankincense, Geranium, Grapefruit, Jasmine, Lemon, Lavender, Patchouli, Rose, Rosewood, Sandalwood, Ylang-Ylang
6. Common Uses:
   
   • Vetiver ” oil of tranquility”, “the scent of mother earth”.
   • Vetiver is a very relaxing oil, it helps soothe mental and physical exhaustion,  helps to ground a person when feeling burnout and release stress & tension
   • Vetiver is recommended for treating PMS which provides sustained stimulation on the hormone secretions of estrogen and progesterone. It’s excellent for menopause.
   • Vetiver is considered soothing and relieving muscle aches and pains due to stress.
